Master’s work. One-of-a-kind piece
Each knife is handcrafted by a Yakut master and is truly unique. Minor variations in appearance are a natural hallmark of genuine handwork
Frozen Shore is a handmade Yakut knife inspired by the icy coastlines of the Arctic Ocean that border the northernmost reaches of Yakutia. Its blade is forged from 40Kh13 stainless steel — a proven chromium alloy that resists corrosion in freezing rain, snow, and salt air while maintaining a dependable working edge. The clean, unadorned design emphasizes the pure lines of traditional Yakut blade geometry: a single-bevel grind with the characteristic concave fuller (dol) that reduces friction and prevents food from sticking during slicing.
The Karelian birch handle is warm to the touch even in cold weather — a practical advantage in Northern climates where metal and synthetic handles can become uncomfortably cold. Finished with natural oils, the wood develops a deeper, richer patina with use and age. This Yakut knife excels at camp cooking, fish preparation, and general outdoor utility. A timeless design, handcrafted by a Yakut master and delivered in a protective leather sheath.
