1. Definitions
- Seller (“we”, “us”) — Yakutskiye Nozhi LLP (ТОО «Якутские ножи»), BIN 221240017257, registered address: Abylai Khan Avenue 25/1, Almaty district, Astana 010000, Republic of Kazakhstan; phone +7 705 286 5253; email info@muusknife.com.
- Supplier — Yakutskiye Nozhi LLC, Russia (ООО «Якутские ножи», INN 1435325510, OGRN 1171447013352, Yakutsk), which supplies the Goods on the Seller’s instructions and ships them to the Buyer directly from Russia.
- Site — the Seller’s online store at https://muusknife.com.
- Goods — handmade Yakutian knives (household and butchering knives), sheaths, packaging and related items offered on the Site.
- Buyer (“you”) — an individual aged 18 or over who places an Order on the Site for personal, family or household use, not for business.
- Order — your request, placed on the Site, to buy the Goods you selected.
2. About these terms
These terms, together with the product information on the Site, are the Seller’s public offer under the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. By placing an Order and ticking your agreement to these terms at checkout, you accept the offer in full and without reservation, so please read them before you buy.
The Seller is the only party to the contract with you. The Seller may instruct the Supplier to supply the Goods and ship them to you directly, and remains responsible to you for performing the contract, for the quality of the Goods, for returns and for the warranty.
The relationship between the Seller and the Buyer is governed by the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Consumer Protection”. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
We may change these terms. A new version is published on the Site and applies to Orders placed after its publication. An Order already placed is governed by the version in force when you placed it.
3. Who may order
You must be at least 18 years old to order from us. Knives are age-restricted goods in most countries, and we do not sell to minors.
4. Our knives
Every knife is made by hand by craftsmen of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The pattern of the handle and the steel and small differences in dimensions vary from piece to piece, and photographs on the Site show the typical look of the item. This variation is a feature of handmade work, not a defect.
Our knives are household and butchering knives under the Russian standard GOST R 51644. Each comes with a Russian certificate of conformity confirming that it is not a bladed weapon; the document is enclosed in the parcel. They are not designed, made or marketed as weapons.
Rules on importing, keeping and carrying knives — blade length, carry and possession — vary widely by country, state and city. Checking the law of your destination country, and of the place where you intend to carry the knife, is your responsibility.
5. Placing and confirming an Order
- You can place an Order on the Site at any time; no account is needed.
- No payment is taken when you place an Order. The contract is concluded at the moment you pay the amount in tenge stated in the payment link (section 6); the Seller then confirms your Order by email.
- The Seller may decline an Order if the item is out of stock, delivery to your country is not possible or the payment cannot be verified. In that case anything you have paid is refunded in full.
- You can change or cancel an Order by emailing info@muusknife.com while it has not yet been shipped.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the name, phone number and delivery address you give us. A parcel sent to a wrong address you supplied cannot be recovered.
6. Prices and payment
The price of the contract and the amount you pay are in Kazakhstani tenge (KZT). Prices on the Site are shown in US dollars (USD) with an approximate amount in tenge at the National Bank of Kazakhstan rate. After you place an Order, our manager emails you a link to pay. The link states the exact amount in KZT, calculated at the National Bank of Kazakhstan rate on the day the link is issued; the contract is concluded for that amount at the moment you pay. That amount is fixed in the link and may differ from the approximate tenge amount shown when you placed the Order; the US dollar price of the Order does not change. If your card is not in tenge, your bank may add its own currency conversion fee — that fee is set by your bank, not by us. The Seller applies Kazakhstan’s simplified tax regime and is not a VAT payer: no VAT is added to the amount you pay.
The price of an Order on the Site does not change after it is placed. If a price is shown with an obvious error, we contact you: you either confirm the Order at the correct price or cancel it, and anything you have paid is refunded in full.
You pay by bank card on the secure payment page of the Seller’s acquiring bank, opened from the link in our email. We never see or store your card details. Your bank may ask for 3-D Secure confirmation and may decline a transaction it considers fraudulent.
To protect cardholders against misuse of their cards, we may review a paid Order and ask you to confirm that you are the cardholder.
7. Shipping and delivery
- Orders ship from Russia within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation.
- Delivery is by Russian Post with a tracking number; the estimated delivery time is 10–30 business days depending on the destination; times for each country are on our Shipping page.
- The shipping cost is shown on our Shipping page and at checkout before you pay.
- Delivery times are estimates. They can move during peak periods and customs backlogs, and delays caused by carriers or customs are outside our control.
8. Customs, duties and taxes
You are the importer of the Goods in your country. Customs duties, taxes and fees of the destination country are paid by you. Details for the main destinations are on our Shipping page.
If a parcel is held or seized by customs in the destination country because of local restrictions on knives that you should have checked under section 4, the price of the Goods and the shipping cost are not refunded.
9. Lost or damaged parcels
If tracking shows the parcel delivered but you did not receive it, tell us within 7 days: we file a claim with the carrier and either ship the Goods again or refund you. If the packaging arrives damaged, photograph it before opening and email us straight away.
10. Returns and refunds
You may return Goods of proper quality within 14 days of receipt if they are unused and in original condition — blade not sharpened, handle not modified, sheath intact. Used, sharpened or modified knives, engraved items and items made to individual order cannot be returned.
- To start a return, email info@muusknife.com or call +7 705 286 5253 with your order number. We reply within one business day with the return address and instructions.
- For Goods of proper quality you pay the return shipping. If the Goods arrived damaged or with a manufacturing defect, we pay for it.
- Refunds are made in Kazakhstani tenge (KZT), in the amount actually charged, to the card you paid with, within 5 business days of us receiving and inspecting the Goods; the time it takes to reach your account depends on your bank.

11. Warranty
We give a 6-month warranty from the date of receipt against manufacturing defects: blade integrity, handle attachment and assembly.
The warranty does not cover normal wear, corrosion from improper storage, damage from misuse (including prying), re-sharpening by third parties, or the variation described in section 4. Care instructions are in our Care Guide.
The warranty does not limit your consumer rights regarding Goods of improper quality under the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
12. Liability
A knife is a sharp tool. You are responsible for using, storing and carrying it safely and lawfully, and for keeping it away from children. The Seller is not liable for harm caused by using the Goods for anything other than their intended purpose, or for the content of third-party sites linked from the Site.
13. Content on this Site
The photographs, video, text and design on this Site belong to MUUS or to the craftsmen we work with. You may share and link to them; you may not republish them as your own, or use them to sell knives that are not ours.
14. Personal data
We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Service messages about your Order are sent without separate consent; marketing messages are sent only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
15. Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, email info@muusknife.com first — nearly everything is settled that way, and quickly. You can send a formal complaint to that email or to the Seller’s postal address; we reply within 10 calendar days.
Disputes are settled by negotiation and, failing agreement, by a court in accordance with the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. You keep the protection that the law of your country of residence gives you.
If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
