Call of the Taiga — Yakut Knife

This knife is designed for a wide range of everyday tasks and outdoor use, including fishing, hunting, camping, and general utility work. It is well suited for preparing food, processing fish and meat, woodworking, and various day-to-day tasks.

The blade is made from X12MF steel, known for its high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and long-lasting edge retention. With proper care, the blade will maintain its cutting performance for a long time.

The blade measures approximately 130–150 mm in length and 30 mm in width. These proportions make the knife compact and comfortable to handle while still providing excellent versatility.

The handle is crafted from Karelian birch, prized for its distinctive natural grain. Each piece of wood has its own unique pattern, making every knife one of a kind. The handle is comfortable and pleasant to hold.

The knife comes with a genuine leather sheath, which protects the blade and provides a convenient and secure way to carry and store the knife.

A distinctive feature of this model is the hand-forged decorative motif depicting bear or moose tracks with a forest landscape. This detail reflects the wild nature of the North and gives the knife a unique and expressive character.

The bolster is made from wild mountain sheep horn (Chubuku). Its natural variations in color and texture ensure that no two knives are exactly alike.

The design is completed with decorative hand weaving, highlighting the craftsmanship and traditional character of the piece.

Each knife is more than just a practical tool — it is a handcrafted piece inspired by Yakut traditions and the spirit of the northern wilderness.
