Pathfinder — Suoldyut

The Pathfinder — Suoldyut is a working Yakut knife for people who spend real days outdoors. Its blade is forged from Kh12MF, a high-carbon tool steel that holds a keen edge through heavy, repetitive cutting and shrugs off wear — the kind of steel you sharpen rarely and trust often.

Like every Yakut blade, it carries the traditional asymmetric grind: one side flat, the other gently convex, with a single bevel that slips through wood, hide and frozen fish without binding. That geometry is why one knife has served hunters, fishermen and herders across the Sakha Republic for a thousand years — and why it still handles the whole day, from field dressing to preparing a meal at camp.

The handle is turned from Karelian birch, its dense burl figuring warm in the hand and steady when wet or cold, finished against a mountain-ram-horn bolster that anchors the grip. It rides in a fitted leather sheath.
