Hand-forged by Yakutian masters — every knife is unique

Shipping & Delivery

All MUUS knives ship internationally from our warehouse in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Russia. Here is everything you need to know before your order leaves our workshop.

Processing Time

We dispatch orders within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation. Each knife is inspected by the craftsman before it ships — we do not dispatch anything we would not use ourselves.

Tracking

Once your order ships, we email a tracking number. Parcels are trackable on pochta.ru and on your local postal carrier’s website (USPS for USA, Royal Mail for UK, etc.).

Duties, Taxes, and Customs

MUUS ships from Russia. You are the importer of record in your country. Duties and import taxes — if any — are your responsibility.

  • USA: Orders under $800 per shipment enter duty-free under the Section 321 de minimis threshold. A single MUUS knife qualifies in almost every case.
  • UK: Import VAT (20%) applies on goods over £135. For a £250 knife this means roughly £50 collected by the carrier on delivery.
  • EU: Import VAT applies on goods over €150. Rates vary by country (19–25%). Carrier will collect on delivery.
  • Canada: Duty-free under CUSMA/USMCA for goods of Russian origin does not apply — standard MFN rate of 0% applies for knives under HS 8211.93. GST/HST is collected on import.
  • Australia: GST (10%) applies on goods over AUD 1,000 via the Low Value Imports scheme. Most single-knife orders are below this threshold.

We declare goods at full value on customs forms. We do not mark as “gift” or undervalue shipments.

Knife Import Legality

Fixed-blade utility and craft knives are legal to import in all countries we ship to. MUUS knives are not designed or marketed as weapons. We recommend you check your local regulations on blade length and carry laws before travelling with your knife — rules vary widely by jurisdiction. Our FAQ covers this in more detail.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

If your tracking shows delivered but you did not receive the parcel, contact us within 7 days — we will file a carrier claim and reship or refund. If the knife arrives visibly damaged, photograph the packaging before opening and email us immediately at info@muusknife.com.
